A tremendous athlete, Tamera Young is versatile enough to play shooting  guard, small forward and power forward.  Her signature move is the dribble pull-up and poses match-up problems for small guards and bigger, slower forwards.

After a stellar career at James Madison University, Tamera Young was the 2008 Inaugural, First Round Draft Choice, of the WNBA Atlanta Dream; 8th overall.  During her rookie campaign, Tamera averaged:

1.2 apg

After her WNBA campaign, Tamera played for Extrugasa Vilagarcia in Spain, where she averaged: 11.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.1 spg and in Euro Cup competition she averaged 16.3 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.3 spg.

In Jan.’09 Ms. Young moved to SK Cesis in Latvia-BWBL, where she averaged 12.4 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 1.8 apg, 2.2 spg and averaged 15.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 2.2 apg, 2.0 spg in LSBL play.

During the 2009 WNBA season, Ms. Young was traded to the Chicago Sky where she saw her minutes and production increase.
